About BoshamTide
BoshamTide is a small local tool for a specific Bosham problem: Shore Road floods, and people park on it. The site shows today's tide times, predicted heights, and a working estimate of when Shore Road may flood, so you can decide whether to leave a car by the water.
It is not a generic UK tide site. Bosham is a secondary port in Chichester Harbour. Times and heights come from the UK Hydrographic Office via the Admiralty API, in metres above Chart Datum. Flood windows are modelled from those predictions, not read from a gauge on the tarmac. Always check the road on arrival.
King Canute couldn't stop the tide here. We can't either, but we can tell you when to park.
There is a practical parking guide, and long-range tide tables for 2026–2030 for planning further ahead. How the numbers are built is written up in Data & Methodology. The site is independent, not affiliated with UKHO, Admiralty or Chichester Harbour Conservancy, and run by Harvey Woods.
